# How to i2p?

when i try to connect to my running i2p instance:
which shows: 
Accepting tunnels
SAM TCP Client 	Ready

I get following error:
```

what version of i2p are you using? Also double check it is actually running assuming this is your first time playing around with i2p figure out how to check the console for whatever version you are using

but you were right was an easy fix just had to configure it in .i2p instead of /var/lib/i2p/i2p-config/, which also made the bridge go up...
