# microReticulum transport <-> rnode interface (on rnsd)

Did something change with the way the `RNodeInterface` and microReticulum worked recently. I used to be able to use my handheld RNode and hop through a transport node on my roof that is running microRetciulum. That roof node would then hit an RNode (connected to rns via an `RNodeInterface`) and to the rest of the network.

Now it seems broken. I also noticed that the default mode for `RNodeInterface` went from `gateway` to `accesspoint`. I corrected it back to `gateway`. I run all the nodes like that although I suspect `gateway` for the roof node makes more sense.

Either way help would be appreciated. I did set the airtime limit to 0.1 of the roof node so I can't tell if that drastically impacted it but it feels like it straight up doesn't work.

If I open the ChadConsole (very based, thats what I call the microReticulum console) then I do see traffic. It has enogh flash storage too.
