# rngit issues on windows: WinError 183

Well, what it says in the title. I am trying to make my brother setup rngit so we can abandon Microsoft and GitHub in ours projects.

But then, it is erroring at the first initialization with this error, trying to write at .rngit/stats

Mind sharing your config, to be helped better? 
I shared mine here:

maybe make a new directory, do rngit --config directory

Only thing i'd change now about the config is that i'd not make a seperate rpc key and use the default --rnsconfig dir

And please consider linux or BSD, if you don't want to learn mint is just like windows and bazaar gives you a nice interface for searching for apps
